Lambs of Manchester. Probably designed by W. J. Estall. A high-quality Aesthetic Movement ebonized settee with incised and gilded decoration throughout. The back has a gilded fan to the top centre flanked by fine incised decoration across and to the back uprights.
The front and back legs to each side are united by a lower stretcher with upright supports, and a full-length turned, incised, and gilded stretcher with turned supports set back from the front of the settee.
