Barnard, Bishop & Barnards was a 19th-century ironworking firm based in Norwich, established in 1826 by Charles Barnard and later expanded through partnerships with John Bishop and Barnard’s sons. The company became known for its high-quality cast and wrought ironwork, ranging from agricultural tools to decorative architectural elements. In the 1860s and 1870s, they collaborated with architect Thomas Jeckyll, producing intricate fire grates, garden furniture, and Aesthetic Movement pieces. Their work combined industrial production with artistic design, exemplified by commissions like the Norwich Gates, presented to the Prince of Wales in 1863.
